Buying life insurance is a very loving thing for people to do for their spouse or kids. In order for me to agree to pay a monthly premium the rest of my life to any life insurance company, I’m going to need to really love and care about someone a lot.
But what if you run your lead card and the guy (it’s always guys) just doesn’t give a rat’s patooty about anyone? He hates his ex-wife. His kids are all leeches and he’s just going to spend all his money and they can throw his body in the river for all he cares. (If you haven’t run into this guy, you haven’t bought many leads yet.)
Now you have a lead you paid twenty-five STINKIN’ BUCKS for and a guy right in front of you that Zig Ziglar couldn’t sell because he HATES people. 
You can either walk away with no sale, try to talk him into loving his family OR you can sell him the kind of insurance that would appeal to someone more worried about themselves than others. And who cares at that point, right! Rather than YOU pay someone $10,000 when you die, how about somebody gives YOU $10,000 while you’re alive. Wouldn’t that be better?
